The Guarantee of a Joc
Written By: Dominique & Terrie, Model Chics 4 U

Atlanta, Georgia… the most thoroughly musical melting pot in Rap history is never worried when another city or coast is getting all of the attention. From Outkast to Goodie Mobb - from Ludacris to T.I. and all points in between, before and after, the “A” breeds talent like no other. Once again, all eyes are on ATL as it is the home of yet another lyrical standout. Introducing: Yung Joc

MC4U: Let us know a little bit about who you are.
YUNG JOC: I was born and raised in ATL. I was a troubled kid. Did things my way and really didn't care about what no one thought about it. It was once I got older that I decided to take all of that negative energy and focus on this rap thing and here I am today. Determined and making it happen.

MC4U: Your rap style has been compared to mainstream artists near and far. Who would you compare your style with? YUNG JOC: Young Jeezy comes to mind. He keeps it “street” and his raps tell his life story. From the dope game and what not, he put it down in his rhymes and I keep it street as well. No faking & spitting fiction.

MC4U: I have been listening to the hit single "It's Going Down" for about 2 weeks now and I think the track is embedded in my head. Who produced that track and what other producers do you want work with?
YUNG JOC: Nitty, with So So Def. Yeah, that song was a hit from day one. When I first heard the track, I knew exactly what type of words needed to be put to it.

MC4U: Throughout the years, you have dropped some of the hottest mixed tapes to hit the streets. What can we expect from the album and when does it drop and has it already been named?
YUNG JOC: Yea, my mix-tapes get plenty love. Those that has ever had the mix-tape, know it's going down on the album.

MC4U: Will we see a different side of Yung Joc once we purchase the album?
YUNG JOC: The album will not be disappointing. I know a lot of people get skeptical because so many artists have that one fire track and everything else is a let down. But my album is one that the people can go buy and be glad they did. It's definitely not gonna’ let you down. We're expecting to release it in the summer.

MC4U: Recently, The Block Entertainment label has joined forces with Sean "Diddy" Combs. How will that affect you? After all, you're a ATL representer. Will you have to relocate because of the merge?
YUNG JOC: Nah. With today’s technology, I can record right from my car if it gets that crucial. I gotta’ laptop with a microphone, speakers, media player, and all that. I'm a true Georgia boy to my heart, so relocating is not my flavor. I am going to do my thang from the ATL.

MC4U: I recently had the pleasure to see the music video to "It's Going Down.” I love the dance that goes with the song. Was that the first time you had ever shot a video and what was that experience like for you?
YUNG JOC: It was a proud moment. Just to be out there with my peeps, shooting my video… We had a good time. Just like I tell you in the song, “it went down.”

MC4U: Explain to the readers, what is the TRAP?
YUNG JOC: The TRAP is whatever you do. What do you do and if you couldn't do it, could you survive financially?

MC4U: Thank you for taking the time out to talk with me today. Any last words or shout outs?
YUNG JOC: I just want to thank God. I want to let my fans know it's fa’ sho "Going Down". Thank you all for listening and believing in me. Remember this... I'm a Joc of all trades.
